In 2015, we purchased boxes upon boxes of old advertising work ups from an estate sale in North Carolina. A famous art director from McCann-Erickson had saved the pieces seemingly for inspiration and to honor past creative craftsmanship. As we dug through the treasure trove of marketing history, we found custom work from the ’20s, ’30s and beyond. It soon became apparent that this was much more than just tattered sheets of paper. Over the next two years, we’d document more than 2,000 pieces of art, hailing from the golden age of advertising. Owning a brand development agency, we’re humbled to possess the concepts of pioneers who penned the way for design folks like us. We decided to launch an online gallery of sorts.
